Like most community events, StaarCon runs on volunteers. While we do have a small staff, most of the people you will see making sure StaarCon goes smoothly are volunteers. Volunteers receive free admission on the days they work. Volunteer jobs include helping at reception and monitoring presentation rooms to ensure that everyone has what they need. As we approach StaarCon 6, we still have a few volunteer spots open. Please reach out to Christiana at 561-655-1160 if you would like to be considered for a volunteer role at StaarCon 6.
If you plan to join as an attendee and haven’t purchased tickets yet, no worries. You can buy tickets online or at the door.
What should you bring to StaarCon? For me, a way to take notes, whether electronic or paper, is necessary, along with a big travel mug for caffeine. We love costumes and fancy dress at StaarCon, especially Saturday night for the red carpet and the Bardic Circle. October weather is usually great, so bring your bathing suit! Of course, plan to bring at least one tarot deck to every StaarCon session!
