Danielle Maribell is a tarot reader, mentor, and co-founder of Sibyl’s Lab of Cartomantics, a home for irreverent divination at the altar of the everyday. As a literature professor for over 15 years, Danielle approaches tarot as a symbolic language for thinking clearly about our complicated lives. And as a lifelong student of myth, she brings emotional steadiness and compassion to the cards. Her research on literature, film, and atrocity has led her to an understanding of stories as sites of deep empathy and internal excavation, and her approach to the cards engages everyday experience as a space for intention, self-narrative, and myth-making.

In this session, we will be discussing tarot as a mythic language and discover our place within its library, standing alongside a deity of your choosing.
We will discuss how to choose a deity for this work and practice a process for engaging with them using tarot. We will learn how to discover and dialogue with this deity, and ways to weave our lives into their archetypal challenges and gifts.
