During the workshop, I discuss the practice of mediumship, focusing on the methods I have used—and continue to use—to strengthen my abilities in this field. Attendees are guided through my personal experiences and techniques that have contributed to my growth as a medium.

For example, airy swords are the elemental opposite of earthy pentacles.  So... if the 9 of Swords is an airy card, can we counter it with its earthy opposite number, the 9 of Pentacles?  Can we find a remedy for despair in the solitary works of beauty found in the 9 of Pentacles?

Jason Augustus Newcomb, the designer of the Greek Magical Papyri (PGM for short) Tarot will discuss practical uses for this amazing deck. The art is based on ancient Greek pottery, late antiquity magical gems and the talismans of the PGM. In the segment Mam’zelle Kamille (AKA Kristen) will be explaining techniques for spiritual cleansing both sacred and spiritual tools, one’s ritual space, as well as how to make a spiritual cleansing bath and the benefits of doing so.

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn recreated the tarot deck as a Kabbalistic tool to seek Divine connection through a practice of deep self-examination. The Waite-Smith deck was specifically designed for each card to correspond with teachings encoded on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. However, they never taught (at least publicly) how to use the tarot in a Kabbalistic ritual to connect with the Divine within.

This workshop will introduce you practical Kabbalah—which means you’ll learn key concepts that you will be able to use daily, without any complicated, abstract, or abstruse philosophy. You’ll learn how the structure of the deck and the meanings of each card are rooted in the meanings of their positions on the Tree of Life. Tarot and oracle cards are effective companions in readings, but also powerful allies in spell-casting. How can we use the cards to spell cast? In this hour-long offering, we will learn to amplify intention and vision by introducing and exercising Tarot Movement and the Tarot Dance. Looking back at almost 18 years involved with Tarot?? It's been quite a journey. I'll be discussing how and why I initially got involved. What was my preparation and approach, and how that changed over the years. Reviewing what hopefully worked but also what didn't. A general summary of the power of imagery and its application to cartomancy. A creative process that required a balance of both respecting tradition but also challenging it. A closer look at a number of cards from several of my decks, with a more in depth explanation of them, pointing out details and context that may not be initially apparent.
